Congratulations to our Honors in the Major (HIM) Scholarship awardees for Fall 2017!
The Burnett Honors College partners with nine other colleges and four regional campuses (Cocoa, Daytona, Palm Bay, and Sanford/Lake Mary) in sponsoring the Honors in the Major Scholarships. These $1,000 scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis within each college or campus each Fall and Spring semester.
The Honors in the Major Program is designed to encourage the best juniors and seniors to undertake original and independent work in their major field. Students research, write, defend and publish an original Honors thesis that serves as the capstone product of their undergraduate career. This thesis is published through the university library and is available to researchers worldwide through electronic databases.
