Madi Dogariu, PhD is the Assistant Dean of the Burnett Honors College and manages the admissions process. She began her career at UCF as a physics professor in 1994. She received her PhD in electrical engineering from the Research Institute for Electronic Science, Hokkaido University, Japan. Her research interest areas are light scattering in random media and physics education, and she has 20 publications in journals and conference proceedings.

Dr. Dogariu has also been a coach for UCF’s very successful Intercollegiate Ethics Bowl team for over ten years. And, her husband, Dr. Aristide Dogariu, is a professor in the College of Optics and Photonics. Yes, they are a UCF family!

Dr. Dogariu’s favorite pastimes are reading, travel, and nature. Fun fact, she has lived and worked on three continents.

  • Update any of your contact information, including change of status in the program
  • Help you complete an Intent to Graduate with University Honors or the University Honors Exit Survey
  • Schedule an optional exit interview prior to graduation with University Honors
