You are probably aware that Burnett Honors College Scholars represent the “best of the best” at UCF!
However, what you might not realize is being an Honors student does not automatically mean a “free ride” to college. In addition to grants and scholarships, many of our Scholars must work to make up the tuition gap, as well as pay for housing, food, and, in some cases, help support their families at home.
The Burnett Honors College is committed to providing access and opportunity for all students who have the drive, talent and will to succeed. We could not do this without the support of generous alumni, parents, friends, businesses, and foundations. Every gift has a direct and lasting impact in the lives of our Scholars.
Student Support
Our funding priorities all center on student support:
BHC Dean’s Excellence Fund: provides discretionary funds for student programming and events, as well as supporting critical needs of students such as food insecurity, unexpected hardships, and emergencies.
BHC Research Fund: supports independent cutting-edge research which enriches the student experience and supports accelerated academic development.
BHC Scholarships helps meet students’ academic needs, allowing them to focus on educational excellence and preparation in addition to pursuing opportunities such as internships, undergraduate research, service-learning, and study abroad.
InSpire Scholarship Fund: provides scholarships to students from the most distressed communities, creating an unprecedented opportunity to support UCF’s intentional strategy of eliminating socio-economic status as a barrier to educational mobility.
