Every Honors student who successfully completes University Honors or Honors in the Major receives an Honors Medallion. During the week prior to Commencement, we hold the Honors Graduation Banquet to recognize Honors graduates and award these medallions. During the Honors Graduation Banquet, which the President, Provost, and Deans attend, the student is vested by the Provost with their Honors Medallion. This medallion is then worn at Commencement as part of the academic regalia.

Students unable to attend the Honors Graduation Banquet may pick up their medallion at the Front Desk of The Burnett Honors College beginning the day following the Graduation Banquet.

STUDENT RSVP

If you are a University Honors or Honors in the Major student graduating in Fall 2017 and have submitted your Honors Intent to Graduate, you are invited to attend the Honors Graduation Banquet. The Banquet is a formal, seated dinner, during which we recognize our Honors graduates by vesting them with their Honors Medallion, symbolizing their academic success. You will receive an email to your Knights Email account with the link to RSVP for your complimentary student ticket on November 3, 2017.

The RSVP deadline is November 30, 2017 at 11:59 p.m.

Please note that your Thesis Chair will be receiving a formal invitation with separate RSVP instructions.

GUESTS

Every graduate may reserve up to 3 guest tickets for friends and family members. Guest tickets are limited and will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Guest tickets are $40.00 each.

Payment for guest tickets will be accepted via debit or credit card. You must pay upon submitting your guest. You will not be able to make any changes to your RSVP following submission. If a guest is unable to attend after they have been submitted, please contact Meredith.Harris@ucf.edu.

Extra Guest Ticket Policy: If there are any guest tickets remaining as of December 4, 2017, they will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.  Extra ticket requests can be made when you RSVP. You will receive a notification email starting December 6 confirming whether or not you have been granted additional tickets. Any extra tickets must be paid for by December 8.

MENU

Salad (Vegan friendly): Artisan fall salad with mesclun leaves, cranberries, carrot sticks and roma tomatoes.

Main Entree: Sliced turkey breast on a bed of sweet mashed potatoes. Steamed asparagus and fried onion topping.

Vegan Entree: Winter root vegetable tagine with Winter cranberry couscous, roasted baby carrots and beets. 

Dessert: Fresh Apple Tart with cinnamon sugar. Rich chocolate cake with whipped cream. Fruit plate (Vegan option)

ATTIRE

The Burnett Honors College Graduation Banquet is a formal event attended by both UCF’s President and Provost. Professional business attire is recommended.
