Tickets are normally $102 each but for our Honors students, you can get up to two tickets for $50 each and in prime rows!!! These tickets will go fast! The date is for Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 6pm. The seats are in the wonderfully close section 102. rows E, F, and G.

Now is your chance! The Honors College has only 8 tickets left for this showing and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis!

  International Education Week - Tastes of the World

Honors Congress is hosting 'Tastes of the World' in recognition of International Education Week (11/16-11/20), a campus-wide event.

This event is an opportunity for faculty, staff, and students to share a little bit of their culture by preparing and sharing traditional food! All kinds of donated dishes will be served buffet style!

$7.00 for a single plate of food (no beverage)
$4.00 for a single plate of food if you donate a dish!
$1.00 for a beverage

We encourage you to participate this year by either donating food or saving your appetite for this delicious event!

  Honors Luncheon with Belkis Vega Belmonte

She is director and script writer of documental and fiction films made in movies of 35 mm and 16 mm, as well as in video. She has also been assistant director in TV series. She studied Informational Design and she got her degree in Art History. She has also received post grad courses in dramatist, semiotics, aesthetics, stage play and history of Africa. She has been outstanding due to her work in the documental movie, she was awarded national and internationally. She was a war correspondent in Africa and in the Middle East. She has filmed reports in Syria and El Congo and she has made documentals in Lebanon, Angola and Spain. She has given international courses and conferences on movie in the International Movie School of San Antonio de los Baņos, in Spain, United States and Latin America. She is presently a Permanent Professor of the Faculty of Audiovisual Aids in the Superior Institute of Art in Havana. She was decorated with the Distinction for the Nacional Culture and the National Prize of Journalism Jose Marti, given by the Union of Journalists of Cuba (UPEC). She is a member of the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC) and the Union of Journalism of Cuba (UPEC). To RSVP, sign up on the Honors website or email mcnieves@mail.ucf.edu
